This school is a state-established elementary school located in city Tianshui in Gansu Provine. Since the original campus is damaged by the Sichuan Earthquake, Arcelor Mittal Foundation decided to donate the material needed for rebuilding the school. The new campus can accomodate 2,000 students.

This school is a state-established elementary school located in city Tianshui in Gansu Provine. Since the original campus is damaged by the Sichuan Earthquake, Arcelor Mittal Foundation decided to donate the material needed for rebuilding the school. The new campus can accomodate 2,000 students.

Arcelor Mittal Foundation hopes that the donation they made is not only for the damaged school, but also to establish a good example for the sustainable development of other schools. Compared with traditional buildings, the steel is used much less. The construction of the green school shows that with low amount of steel, high quality can still be achieved with the least impact on the environment.

The project is done with DHV China and Arcelor Mittal.
